Come immerse yourself in the pristine mountain landscape of Cavaglia, Val Poschiavo, with the help of a 270 degree screen, a 32 speaker surround sound system, the scents of freshly cut grass and pure mountain air. Violeta Vicci will perform Cavaglia, the full album, live for the first time, together with collaborator Roger Goula.
Violeta spent her childhood summers in an 18th century cottage in the Swiss alpine village of Cavaglia, situated at 1750 m.s.l. To create this album, she took to translating the region and its surrounding lakes and glaciers, into music. Highlighting the fragility of the environment and the beauty and the devastation created by climate change, the album incorporates the natural world into its very fabric.
Expect layered strings, ethereal vocals, field recordings and electronic textures, accompanied by breathtaking nature visuals and let yourself be transported to the mountains for the evening. Cavaglia is out on the 14th of April on Fabrique Records. Pre-save it HERE.
Special guest, Kate Simko, will close the night with an electronic DJ set hailed by the independent as ‘fresh, exciting and contemporary’.
